Dota 2 adds a completely new hero Monkey King which was not in the original Dota. He was never a playable hero in the original Dota game. Though valve teased him as a main boss nothing really happened. The other new hero is The Underlord , though he was revealed first Monkey King stole the show.

        After the finale of the International fans were asked to wait for the presentation in which Martial Arts started unfolding. Though full powers of the new characters haven't been revealed the teaser hints that Monkey king is a Martial artist with powers of illusion. This new hero will be added to the game by fall 2016.

        Underlord will be added to the game with an update on August 23 , this update includes some UI changes.

        No wonder it is the most played steam game with updates even three and a half years after launch.
